About us

Kostanj is one of the leading Slovenian providers of air filters for the removal of unwanted particles (odours or other pollutants).  We are able to offer our clients complete solutions, because we design, manufacture, and distribute our own products, as well as service chemical-physical and biofilters of all sizes.

We specialise in filtering air from septic tanks, pumping stations,  sewage treatment plants, effluent collection sites, wastewater treatment plants, waste collection sites, waste sorting and recycling sites, composting plants, and during the production and manufacture of food products, the production of animal feed, and in the various stages of industrial processing.

We maintain a competitive advantage through the continuous development and improvement of our products and services.  Our competitive advantage is based on the following:

1. the flexibility of our range of solutions (regarding the choice between chemical-physical filters, biofilters, air purifiers, or a combination of these; and regarding the filter material and size),
2. our flexibility to meet the client's needs (tailored to the concentration of contaminants in the air) and the requirements of European directives concerning the acceptable level of odour concentration in the air,
3. a detailed analysis of the air before producing the filter, which enables us to offer the most suitable technology,
4. our quick response to the client's needs and to any faults,
5. a long term guarantee on the operation of our filters.

We pride ourselves on developing the innovative chemical and physical filters, KF and KFM, which are new to the Slovenian market.  These were developed in collaboration with renowned institutes and university laboratories, such as: The
Jozef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana; the Laboratorio di Olfattometria dinamica at the University of Udine; the chemical faculty at the University of Udine; and with the private firm Progress s.r.l.
